Granite is a natural stone quarried in slabs, so every piece carries its own movement, mineral flecks and depth. No two kitchens end up looking the same.
Natural colors and patterns
Granite ranges from near-white and soft grey through warm beige, gold-veined browns and deep black. Patterns run from fine speckle to broad, flowing movement, so the slab you pick sets the character of the whole room. Because slabs vary, we recommend viewing the actual material before fabrication.
Durability in daily use
Granite is a hard, heat-tolerant surface that stands up to everyday cooking, hot pans set down in a hurry, and years of prep work. Properly supported and installed, it handles the demands of a busy kitchen without showing wear the way softer surfaces do.
Sealing and maintenance
Granite is porous, so it is sealed after installation and re-sealed periodically depending on the stone and how the kitchen is used. Day to day care is simple: warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner, and wipe up oil, wine or citrus rather than letting them sit.
Choosing the right slab
Consider cabinet color, flooring tone and lighting together — a busy granite reads calmer in a large open kitchen than in a small one. We also plan seam placement, overhangs, sink and cooktop cutouts and edge profile before fabrication so the finished top suits the layout.
